In this clip I’m walking through Castaneda’s four enemies of a person of knowledge, starting with the first one: fear.

Fear whispers what if I fail, I’m not good enough, people will judge me, this is too risky. Don Juan’s line is blunt — if you run from fear, you’ve already been defeated by the first enemy. The only way through is to keep going. Effort and work without clinging to the outcome.

After you push through, clarity shows up and you feel like you’ve figured it out. That confidence is useful — and also the next trap, because you stop asking questions.

Founder translation: the product, the post, the launch you keep delaying isn’t waiting on a better plan. It’s waiting on you to stop negotiating with fear. Ship imperfectly. Keep going. Then don’t freeze when the first win makes you feel finished — stay curious enough to keep learning.

Keep going through fear. Don’t stop at clarity.
